War of the Words

So, in his infinite wisdom, Paolo (the gatekeeper of EuA) has decided to permanently ban me from the site. I suppose if I didn't have my own blog, that might be unpleasant, but as it is, it's just an inconvenience
What it does put in me in mind of, though, is something I've noticed all my life - that the bad people of the world don't really ever get a comeuppance, as we imagine they should. In the back of my mind (and I'm sure everyone else's), is this thought that, "Well, when they get to the other side, they'll get theirs!" or "Someday, someone will get them good." And in my experience, that's not true.

In fact, I find it's the good people who get the bad reactions in life. I learned early on that just about anything I could do that was negative to other people, always came back to haunt me. Always came back to bite me in the butt. Without exception. And pain is a profound motivator. It's the reason I quickly decided, as a child, to always try and be patient with people, because negative reactions only really work if you just don't care, and I can't help but care.

All that I can conclude is that, if there is some higher power in the universe, it holds those of us who are supposed to be more responsible for our actions to a higher level of integrity than those who aren't. And, well, I guess that's as an oblique compliment from our maker as we can hope to get. lol

Anywho, I guess it'll be just me and my little blog taking it from here on out. On the plus side, it means I don't have to reformat my content so many times!

So . . . just my musings for the day,

nicholas

EuA - rest in peace!

p.s. - if you like any the stories, feel free to pass the url along to other people who might like them. As time goes by, I'll have a greater and greater balance between m/m and f/m stories. So, there should be something for everyone.

  1. I think it is unfair that EuA ban you for their unclear regulations.
I feel very bad that you write this great story "Gisei" for me and my request about Bear man in Yakuza story. You did excellent work and good research. I really appreciated and enjoyed your stories Nicholas.

  2. (((HUGS)))) right back at ya, BB. And, well, things are what they are. All my prior stories on the Archive are intact (unless Paolo decides to be REALLY vindictive), and that's something.

One nice thing is - on my blog, I can control the formatting of stories, whereas I can't on the EuA. And for someone who cares about such things, that's a bit of a boon.

So, onwards we march. I've decided to post all my old stories here, a bit-at-a-time so that they're not just there. And I've a mind to post one of the "new" chapters of Mind Your P's and Q's, once I finish editing it.

    cheers!

  4. Farmboy, you should. Name it "The Farm: Stories grown and then picked at the height of their freshness". Or something like that.

  5. WTF!? He BANNED you!? I'm very sorry to hear you've been banned from the archive, but this really seems like the actions of a vindictive high-schooler who 'unfriended' you on myspace because of a journal entry you posted. I.e, it's stupid. I'm sorry you have to deal with this headache, but like you said, it's great that this blog exists for you to post your work and continue to get feedback. I will certainly keep checking it regularly to enjoy your brilliant work. To quote Margaret Atwood (or Eric Partridge) "Nolite te bastardes carborundorum" mate!

I can't remember, Knave did I already send you a copy of the "jogging" chapter of P's n Q's ? If not, then the posting will be new . . .

    1. Hiya Michael. I've noticed you've been reading and posting comments on my stories lately, and for that I thank you. I love getting feedback from the community.
As to the EuA, it's the Eunuch Archive, a place that used to be free and open to anyone and everyone but over time has become restricted to members only. Probably for legal reasons, I'm not sure. Anyway that's where I initially posted my stories but now use this blog for that purpose.
Anywho, thank you - keep reading and keep commenting!
      cheers
